For many decades at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, almost all European countries were engrossed in the adventures of the king of detectives, Nat Pinkerton, the only one whose fame rivaled that of Sherlock Holmes. However, if the image of Holmes appeared under the pen of Sir Conan Doyle, then Pinkerton, almost as immortal, was created by someone unknown, and not in the English-speaking world, but in Germany. In Russia, in recent years, many books telling about him have been republished, but no attempt has ever been made to publish the most complete set of editions of these adventures. The seventh volume continues the adventures of the famous detective Nat Pinkerton. Our hero repeatedly falls into a trap, but invariably escapes and emerges victorious in the fight against the underworld. The stories are published according to the original language.
