Tom and his family move to a rural cottage. They got the house cheaply, not least because its previous owner committed suicide. And no one knows why. Within a few days, Tom realizes that, in addition to repairs and mold on the walls, he will have to face another problem: extremely unpleasant and downright hostile neighbors, an elderly couple named Mut. Soon, quarrels and petty squabbles escalate into something much more sinister. Tom begins to suspect that a couple of grumpy old men behind the fence control unearthly forces, dark magic that is older than the strange forest around. And now Tom will have to fight not only for his own sanity, but also for the life of his family.
