In Apollonopolis the Great, a large Egyptian city, a series of deaths occurs: the strategist’s family dies, and then she herself, the keeper of public baths falls from the roof, the widow of a judge and a timber merchant suffocate in their sleep. In the bedroom of each of them, on the eve of the tragedy, a black-figure amphora appeared, cursed many years ago by a bankrupt Athenian. But what if otherworldly forces have nothing to do with it, and behind the ominous vessel is a killer of flesh and blood?
