Ansel Adams (1902-1984) is one of the great photographers of the twentieth century, who is also known as an environmentalist. During his more than 60-year career, he took about 40 thousand photographs. Adams was not only a talented photographer, but also an equally talented teacher. He believed that his approach to photography was universal. From 1955 to 1984, he taught annual master classes.

But his most significant contribution to the artistic, practical and technical aspects of black and white photography is reflected in the legendary series of books (The Camera, The Negative, The Print) , which was first published in the early 1950s.

The Camera, the first in a famous series of books on photography techniques, taught generations of photographers to harness the artistic potential of the camera. This guide accumulates the knowledge acquired by the author over a long career and which remains as relevant today as it was at the time of its first publication.

The book includes photographs taken on 35 mm film, medium and large format, and contains detailed tips on using the camera, lens, shutter and light meter. The publication is illustrated with amazing photographs of Adams and instructional drawings.
