Автор майстерно переплітає дві часові лінії – зникнення Вінки Рокуелл у 1992 році та повернення Томи Дегале до рідного міста через 25 років. Сюжет наповнений інтригами, таємницями та несподіваними поворотами, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Я відчував, як разом з Тома переживаю його муки совісті та бажання розгадати таємницю, яка не давала йому спокою. Книга змушує задуматися про те, як минуле впливає на наше сьогодення, і як важливо зізнатися собі у своїх помилках.
