July 1921. The peasant uprising under the leadership of Antonov was almost defeated. The surviving Antonovites hid in the forests in the southeast of the Tambov province. They are being hunted by the “communist squad” together with the regimental commissar Oleg Mezentsev. He wants to take the rebels prisoner, but they suddenly have more serious enemies - a gang of the one-eyed Tyryshka. Tyryshka confronts everyone who does not hear the distant, mysterious hum. This hum beckons, enchants, captivates, leads deeper into the forest - to where it is not ideas and people that rule, but the beginningless anger of the bandit Tyryshka...

Вражаюча історія про боротьбу і виживання!
Книга "Гул" переносить читача в атмосферу важких часів, коли селянські повстання і боротьба за виживання стали невід'ємною частиною життя людей. Автор майстерно описує події липня 1921 року, створюючи напружену атмосферу, в якій кожен персонаж стикається з власними демонами. Особливо вражає образ полкового комісара Олега Мезенцева, який, намагаючись виконати свій обов'язок, потрапляє в пастку між ідеологією та реальністю. Водночас, банда одноокого Тиришки стає символом хаосу і безжальності, що панують у цій жорстокій реальності. Гул, який манить і захоплює, стає метафорою для тих, хто шукає свій шлях у світі, де панують злість і насильство.
