Seventeenth century – Germany suffocating in the fires of the Inquisition. There is no house where a witch or a werewolf would not be executed, or a person who would not be subjected to the procedure of testing for witchcraft. Brother denounces brother, son denounces mother, mother denounces daughter. Everyone hates and suspects everyone. Raids of “fighters against the forces of darkness” go through the streets. But the Order of St. Dominica (inquisitors) and secular courts receive an unexpected rebuff in the person of the order fighting against the Inquisition and inquisitors. Where is the light and where is the darkness, it is up to the reader to decide.
