The personality of cavalry general Alexei Alekseevich Brusilov occupies a special place in Russian history. A talented cavalryman, a famous military leader of the First World War and, finally, Supreme Commander-in-Chief under the Provisional Government. Unlike many generals of the Imperial Army A.A. Brusilov remained in Soviet Russia and even served as a cavalry inspector in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army, becoming an enemy for most of his former colleagues. In his memoirs, A.A.
