As a very little girl, Ani Choing Drolma, an inhabitant of a Nepalese monastery, known today throughout the world as the “whining nun”, who became famous for her mesmerizing voice and special manner of performing traditional Tibetan mantras and chants, faced cruelty and injustice. A person who brought evil into the life of little Anya, it was her father. He, a drinker and narrow-minded, from early childhood seemed to be trying to destroy his own unloved daughter, humiliating and beating her almost daily. The girl had to go through terrible trials, through the pain of beatings, the torment of insults and losses, before she realized that she had to go through life not on the road of hatred, but on the road of goodness and love.
