There are many heroines in this book, but they all have one thing in common: they are women. Thirsting for love and striving to find their place in life, making mistakes, sometimes irreparably, forgiving and taking revenge. They live in different times. In the 70s of the last century, when the era of Soviet “stagnation” began (the story “Family Life”), in the 80s, when the air of life seemed to be saturated with decay (the story “A Woman’s House”, based on it the film “Adam’s Rib” was made "), in the 90s, when all life moves and, promising new horizons, seems to be flying into tartarar (the story “A New Wonderful Life (Amazon)”). And so - to this day, completely, in no way similar to the life that the heroines of the 70s lived (the story “In the Hot Summer of Last Year”). The book includes nine works written in different years. The writer has a great sense of female nature, accurately and expressively recreates the inner female world - loving his heroines and understanding them, but not flattering them at all. The women of Anatoly Kurchatkin are seductive, and insidious, and kind, and malicious - everything, as it is in real human life.
