The Gaza Strip group and its permanent leader can be treated differently: some value them for their youthful homespun lyrics, appeal to folk roots and genre experiments; others criticize for the vulgarity of the lyrics and the musical derivativeness, calling it “collective farm punk”. However, one cannot but agree that there is no such person who could replace or overshadow Yuri “Khoy” Klinskikh - a talented poet and original musician who is outside of any context or framework of conventions. This book is about how Yuri managed to be the first from many the view of disparate elements to “make” a group in which rock and humor, fairy tales and perestroika everyday life, obscene ditties and mystical plots coexisted. The publication includes previously unpublished photographs from the family archive of Yuri Khoy, fragments of interviews with close relatives of the musician, members of the Sector group Gaza" and colleagues in the shop.
