The novel by the Israeli “Russian-Moldavian spill” Alex, or, simply, Sasha Savchuk, takes the reader to those blessed years when the author and his friends were a little over 20, when the sun was bright, the sky was blue, the snow was white, the wine was worth 90 kopecks, bread 13, and love and grapes - only for love. Love both for such a short, but such a sweet Moldavian evening, and for all, as it turned out, short, youth... The narrative is based on the biography of the author. He himself, like his hero, worked as a bartender in a Moldovan town on the banks of the Dniester.
