Tanya Mittel, a single mother from a small German town, after suffering a head injury, begins to have intrusive dreams, the meaning of which she does not understand. A specialist in regressive hypnosis helps her understand that in her dreams she is experiencing moments of her previous life, in which she was a Russian girl Vera and lived in Leningrad in the last century. Fascinated by the events that once happened in Vera’s family, Tanya comes to St. Petersburg, where someone else's past puts her in real danger.
