J.-P. Vernant is a famous scholar of antiquity, in his work he tries to clearly explain the origin of Greek thought and show its features. Vernant's main idea is as follows. There is a close connection between the innovations introduced by the first Ionian philosophers of the 6th century. BC e. into thinking itself, namely: the realistic nature of the idea of cosmic order, based on the law of a balanced relationship between the constitutive elements of the world, and the geometric interpretation of reality - on the one hand, and the changes in social life, political relations and spiritual structures that the organization entailed policy, on the other.
