In the late 80s, the Belarusian deep drilling expedition carried out geological exploration of areas in Western Siberia - in the Khanty-Mansi National District - near the Ob River: somewhere between Nyagan and Uray. The young geologist Evgeniy Ivanovich Emelyanov, one might say, through connections, manages to fulfill his old dream - to get a job on this expedition. A year later, in the fall, in order to spend part of his vacation in the taiga, he flies by helicopter to one of the drilled points left before the start of the winter road. This is where his adventures begin, which become life-threatening trials.
