The lyrics of Fyodor Sologub (1863-1927), one of the luminaries of symbolism, rightfully belongs to the “golden fund” of Russian poetry, have not been published in full. The poet’s creative path spans half a century (he systematically began writing poetry from the age of 14 and did not stop practicing the art of words until his death), the complete corpus of poetic texts created by him amounts to a four-digit number - about 4000. During his lifetime, he published approximately half of the original poems, a significant part (about third) remains unpublished to this day.

The poetry collection of F. Sologub is a unique literary monument of the era. The publication of a complete corpus of poems and poems, accompanied by a corpus of editions and variants and notes, will illuminate the poet’s creative path in detailed evolution and present his poetic skill and creative laboratory on a true scale. Reproduced in chronological order, the poetic heritage at the same time reproduces its captivating in its emotional amplitude, a lyrical “diary” and chronicle of life. The publication is prepared on the basis of the writer’s extensive archive kept at the Institute of Russian Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Pushkin House).
