Marusya Klimova is the author of several prose books, which until very recently were published in extremely limited editions and secured her a strong reputation as an outcast, a Nietzschean and a decadent. Editor of the countercultural magazine Dantes. President of the Russian Society of Friends L.-F. Selina. Her translations of French radicals are widely known: Louis-Ferdinand Céline, Jean Genet, Monique Wittig, Pierre Guyot and others. In 2006, Marusya Klimova was awarded the French Order of Literature and Art. “My Theory of Literature,” in form and content, continues “My History of Russian Literature,” which caused a real storm among readers. In her new book, Marusya Klimova finally destroys the boundaries separating literary criticism from artistic creativity, and challenges generally accepted ideas about art and life.
