Several years ago, Somakha Oliman was expelled from his home planet for an imaginary crime, since then the foreign trade ship Zabuldyga became his home, and the crew of the ship became his new family. In the holds of the "Zabuldyga" there is another order - the latest combat robots from the "Pioneer's Right" line, and the ship's path lies in the Rapier system, in which the peoples of two neighboring planets - Double Donets and Harmonica - are waging a war among themselves for a place in the sun. It seemed that the deal should go like clockwork, but problems still arise. When delivering goods to Harmonica Somakh, Oliman unwittingly finds himself drawn into the fight on the side of the defenders of the Double Donets, and chance forces him to choose: lose his friends or intervene in the conflict.
