Луїза Пенні створила неперевершену атмосферу та глибокі персонажі, які залишаються в пам'яті ще довго після прочитання. Розслідування старшого інспектора Армана Гамаша захоплює з перших сторінок, а деталі справи про загадкову смерть Джейн Ніл тримають в напрузі до самого кінця. Автор вміло переплітає елементи психологічного трилера та класичного детективу, змушуючи читача сумніватися у своїх припущеннях. Я також вражений глибоким дослідженням стосунків між персонажами та їхніми внутрішніми переживаннями. Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям, і я з нетерпінням чекаю на продовження!
