If a dead person is found hanging from a tree head down, thoughts about some kind of creepy ritual involuntarily come to mind. And horror settles in the village, forcing people to tightly lock themselves in their houses at dusk. After all, there are no strangers here, which means the killer is nearby, it could be anyone. One of the villagers gave himself away and fled to the taiga. It’s a matter of time to capture him; the murder can be considered solved. Journalist of the regional newspaper Sergei Denisov comes from these parts, and he is supposed to write a report about a brutal crime. With his arrival, events begin to unfold rapidly. And Sergei is no longer an observer, he enters into battle with a two-legged beast, with one who was above suspicion.
