Elena Styazhkina is a writer, journalist, professor at Donetsk National University, lives in Ukraine and writes in Russian. She is a historian, and therefore better understands the present and senses the future. Her prose is called “feminine” and “psychological,” but all definitions lose meaning when it comes to real talent, one, unique. The heroes of this collection are also endowed with talent - one for all. The talent to love people near whom the sun does not shine, and to love the homeland as a naughty but only child, the talent to be a woman or a man, to live in spite of, to see, to hear, to empathize and endure. The stories from the collection “One Talent” were awarded by the international literary “Russian Prize."
