The main idea of the book is retribution according to deeds, the triumph of justice. The main character of the fairy tale is a paper doll named Melissa. Melissa lives in the house of the girl Katya. Katya spends all her free time with her favorite paper doll and does not pay attention to her other dolls. In retaliation for this, the cruel dolls drive Melissa out of the house. Melissa is forced to wander. Once in the forest, she meets an owl and learns from her about the existence of an unusual kingdom in which there is no rain or wind, and trees, flowers, grass, houses and inhabitants are made of paper. Melissa manages to find a fairy-tale kingdom. Its ruler Serpentine treats her guest well, the dolls become friends, but the queen has enemies. This is her first minister Papier Mache and the evil witch Zmeelina. They want to overthrow Serpentine, but their plans are not destined to come true...
