The work of Doctor of Historical Sciences N.V. Korshunova is devoted to the analysis of the political doctrine of Emperor Paul I, the forms and methods of its implementation. The author presents characteristics of the domestic and foreign policies of Emperor Paul I, identifying the reasons that prompted the emperor to carry out certain reforms. Particular attention is paid to the political opposition, which began to take shape already in the second year of the emperor’s reign. This includes a detailed examination of the organization of the conspiracy and regicide on March 11, 1801. The work shows why the political doctrine of Emperor Paul led him to collapse.
