The landing on the Kerch Peninsula in November 1943 is one of the largest landing operations in the history of our Fatherland. In terms of scale, only the landing on the same peninsula in 1941 can compete with it (and even then not in everything). The events of November-December 1943 in the Kerch Strait area were extremely dramatic. The arrow of the scales repeatedly fluctuated from defeat to victory and back again and eventually froze in some uncertain position. Although the Kerch-Eltigen operation cannot be called a forgotten page of history, there are still considerable gaps in its study. This is primarily due to the unavailability of most German documents in the past. But Soviet sources have not been studied enough. This book is the first attempt to bring together the documents of the warring parties and the first full-fledged history of one of the most important operations of the Great Patriotic War.
