We have always had problems with historical truth. The myths that totalitarian ideology gave rise to still remain true for many people who lived during Soviet times. Some characters of Soviet myths were frightened, others were elevated to the rank of heroes. It happened that in the morning a national hero, a favorite of the authorities, by the evening, by someone’s evil will, became a traitor. But history, although it can keep secrets for a long time, sooner or later reveals its secrets. True, no matter how unsightly it is, it becomes known. This is exactly the story that happened to the combat lieutenant general of the Red Army Andrei Andreevich Vlasov. It has been going on for about 70 years, and maybe it’s time to finally tell the truth. A truth that not everyone will accept. People, as a rule, are in no hurry to part with myths. It’s more convenient this way.
