Mid-August 1991. The country is seething, torn by contradictions. A small company of people of different ages and different professions gathered in a Crimean sanatorium near Foros. Their political views often do not coincide, and sometimes are directly opposite. They argue fiercely with each other; in their disputes and even destinies, the present and distant past of the country are intricately intertwined. All this does not prevent them from treating each other with respect and even love. And all around, poisonous shoots emerge from the cracks in lush colors - harbingers of an impending cataclysm.
