Jack the Ripper was the name of the famous serial killer who operated on the streets of London at night in the second half of the 19th century. The victims of Jack the Ripper, as a rule, were women who made their living through prostitution. The exact number of his victims is still unknown. A characteristic feature that distinguished Jack the Ripper was his excellent knowledge of anatomy and the professional skills of a surgeon (not only were the victims subjected to violence and strangled, but the bodies of many of them were opened surgically with the removal of a number of organs!).
