Dutch writer Michiel Stroink (b. 1981), while studying literature at the University of Utrecht, worked part-time for four years in one of the city's psychiatric clinics. The author's personal impressions and stories from patients formed the basis of this book. Benjamin, a successful young artist, unexpectedly ends up in a strictly guarded psychiatric hospital. He is unable to believe that he is guilty of a terrible crime, but the details of the fateful night are drowned in a drug and alcohol fog. Gradually, the young man regains control of reality and is horrified, looking back at the asocial, narcissistic egoist he once was. Step by step, Benjamin again turns into a man who seems to have his feet firmly on the ground. But at this moment he receives a letter that leaves no stone unturned from the newly recreated world... The novel is published in Russian for the first time.
