...The infrastructure and marketing policy of the “spiritual” market is complex and thoughtful, the figurative systems are carefully selected and verified. “Spiritual product” for every taste: in the form of seminars, books, cassettes, courses. The “trick” of the nineties was UFOs and channeling. Contactees have appeared who own the channel of Christ, the Ascended Teachers, Sirius and the transplutonian planet X. Profitable business... At our expense... But not everyone is striving to join the ranks of the next “White Brotherhood”. And then destructive psychotechnics are used... We, as ordinary people, do not know about the existence of methods of influencing groups of people and individuals. We do not know how we ourselves create illusions in which we willingly believe. We don’t know that fear, imposed on us from the outside, always nests inside us. We don’t know that in certain situations we become very suggestible. We are unaware of our tendency to follow charismatic leaders and seek relief from stress in group cohesion and collective faith. We do not know about behavior modification techniques, group conformity, the tendency to obey authority, cognitive dissonance and the instinctive-primatological desire of people to unite in groups. We don't know about ways to put people into altered states of consciousness. We do not know about the existence of subtle technologies for reforming consciousness, thanks to which inquisitive, seeking and spiritually developed people (and our children!) can be instilled with phobias and addictions. We don’t know that by manipulating people’s thirst for spirituality and philosophical quests, their dissatisfaction, loss of values and the need to change something, they can be turned into fanatics. Many young people, fearlessly shuffling cards of states of consciousness from the deck of realities, managed to get burned when they found themselves in the narrow corridors of the realities of carceral totalitarianism... Once upon a time we were convinced that He exists, and in order to cope with uncertainty, we can only rely on Him. Then we were convinced that the Path to Him, no matter what name He is called, becomes shorter if you interact with Him through an “intermediary.” The “Mediator” builds official institutions - the Church, accepts donations, forgives sins, fights for the number of flocks, teaches to honor the sacred scriptures. “The Mediator” promises us a heavenly life after death. The “Mediator” invests himself with spiritual authority. But the “Mediator”, who has taken upon himself all His powers, is an impostor, for one can communicate with Him directly. It is He who creates all realities and worlds, facts and interpretations, maps and models, chaos and order. It is He who, as Alfred Gerry said, is the shortest distance between zero and infinity.
