The documentary story by Vladimir Koshuta tells about the tragic fate of the Russian emigrant in Belgium Marina Shafrova-Marutaeva. During the occupation of Belgium by fascist troops, she joined the Resistance movement. In December 1941, 33-year-old Marina, on one of the central streets of Brussels, made an attempt on the life of an officer of the German commandant's office, stabbing him with a kitchen knife. By personal order of Hitler, despite the intercession of Queen Elizabeth of Belgium, Marina Shafrova-Marutaeva was beheaded.
