Anton Romanov is a 35-year-old investigator who once dreamed of becoming a psychiatrist, but after the death of his mother, he dropped out of medical school. He doesn’t communicate with his father, and he hates his new wife. Anton’s family is his uncle and boss, Sergei Vasilyevich, and their mutual friend and colleague, Maxim. The lives of all three change on the day when Maxim brings to Anton’s apartment a girl whom he found unconscious on the street. It is this event that becomes the beginning of the stories about three friends. And, although in each part of the book there is a detective line, it is still a book about the complicated personal life of three investigators outside of work.
