In his book, the author not only examines the policy and strategy of waging war by Edward Plantagenet, nicknamed the Black Prince, but also evaluates the entire campaign as a whole: the composition of the army, its supply of food resources, ensuring the proper level of military discipline, a detailed description of the weapons and uniforms of soldiers and many other components of the medieval army. Edward Plantagenet remained in history as the crown prince, who managed to make a worthy contribution to the development of his country. Perhaps if his early death had not prevented him from becoming king of England, this contribution would have been much more significant.
