The new book by the famous master of the genre Alexander Zelensky includes three historical and adventure works. The novel “Coinage for the Governor” tells the story of the dynasty of foreign governors Boris and Mikhail Shein. The elder Shein defended the Sokol fortress during the Livonian War at the end of the 15th century, and his son, at the beginning of the 16th century, defended the independence of Rus' from foreigners in the Time of Troubles, and led the defense of Smolensk. The story “The Field Marshal’s Legacy” is dedicated to the first Russian field marshal, Count Fyodor Golovin. This is a story about the intrigue that unfolded at the court of Empress Elizabeth in connection with the establishment of the true heirs of the famous field marshal. The story “The Adventurer” tells the story of the events preceding the battle with the Turks at Chesma (1770). The main character of the exciting story was “Admiral General” Alexei Orlov, one of the famous five Orlov brothers, who became famous for their actions during the reign of Empress Catherine II.
