A recognized classic of Russian literature and its first Nobel laureate (1933), prose writer, poet, translator Ivan Alekseevich Bunin, before two emigrant writers, received unconditional recognition in his homeland. The book includes: the writer’s diary “Cursed Days”, cycles of stories “Under With Sickle and Hammer" and "Unknown Stories", poems unknown to the Soviet reader and "Memoirs" by I.A. Bunin - portraits of his contemporaries. I. Bunin’s speech “The Mission of Russian Emigration” is published for the first time. The book contains an introductory article by Oleg Mikhailov “Unknown Bunin”.
