New book by V.Zh. Tsvetkova talks about the biography of a talented military leader, author and developer of military-strategic plans and operations of the Russian Imperial Army on the eve and during the First World War - Infantry General Mikhail Vasilyevich Alekseev. The author examines in detail the features of the formation of M.V.’s views. Alekseev, his assessment of the most important military and political problems of the Russian Empire of the late 19th - early 20th centuries. The features of his character, the specifics of his strategic style when planning military operations, his attitude towards the public and the ideas of national dictatorship are shown. Separate chapters are devoted to the participation of General Alekseev in the events of 1917, his role in the founding of the White movement in the South of Russia in 1917-1918.
