The first volume (“Mutant Weapon”) of the first five-volume block of the Anthology of World Science Fiction includes works by American science fiction writers. The collection is based on five different-scale works by Murray Leinster from the series about the adventures of a space doctor (“Emergency of Universal Scale”). The design of the block is designed so that when placing the books that make it up in a certain order (from left to right: “Mutant Weapon”, “The Current of Halcyon” ", "Space Fugitive", "Weapon of Oblivion" and "Ahriman's Arrow") their spines will form one common drawing, which is the symbol of this block.
