The book by the leader of the famous rock group CHAIF gives readers the opportunity to discover the thoughts, experiences, creative attitudes, and dear impressions of an extraordinary personality and simply a wonderful person, “accumulated” in computer files. Notes, recordings, stories, scripts, song lyrics, interviews form a holistic image of fate. The publication is equipped with rare photographs from the personal archive of V. Shakhrin and the CHAIF group.

I don’t know what genre this is, but I wrote this in December 1983. The text was published in one of the first editions of the Russian Rolling Stone.

I never intended to publish the lyrics separately, as I am quite critical of my poetic abilities. But in 2005, a group of St. Petersburg enthusiasts decided to release a multi-volume anthology “Poets of Russian Rock,” and they convinced me that my participation was mandatory. That's how this file appeared on my computer. I simply chose those texts that, from my point of view, look most convincing in text form.
