This is a continuation of the story of Mark James, begun in Return to Paradise. Mark travels to New Mexico to the base in Dulce, trying to avoid capture by both the Mogs and the FBI. Along the way, his new mysterious ally (a fellow blogger from the site They Walk Among Us, whom Mark knows only under the pseudonym GUARDIAN) sends him a special package that will help him in his search for Sarah. Inside is a wad of cash, high-tech equipment, and some advanced weapons, which makes Mark again begin to wonder: “Who is this guy?” While Mark finds out where Sarah is, he is also getting closer to the secret of this mysterious person, who seems to know too much about the Loriens. And when it turns out who the GUARDIAN really is, it becomes clear: nothing will be the same again.
