A team of archaeologists discovers a lost Mayan city in the impenetrable Mexican jungle. There, in an ancient tomb, scientists discover a clay jug, sealed with wax, and a silver figurine of a scarab. Only one of the expedition members, Ignat Nefedov, realizes what power the scarab contains.
