Choose a place to build a castle. Your mission is to build a castle on neutral lands, erect fortifications and protect the peasants. Bring food supplies to 40 units, swords to 5 units, bows to 5 units. The population should increase by 50%. Be careful, there are gangs of robbers operating in the forests. Hint: Place towers at the crossing points and place archers on them. Your people are counting on you. Time until defeat... (the countdown has begun)...

Abstract. In 200*, on New Year's Eve, a catastrophe occurred that changed the world, possibly with the help of information technology. Nobody knows who it was and how they did it and what the authors of the project wanted to achieve, all that is known is that it happened all over the world almost simultaneously. During the first week of the new year people have gone crazy. The subtle touch of civilization had disappeared; in response to an innocent remark one could get a fist in the face or a knife in the belly. Then people began to lose their minds. They behaved like wild animals, did not use clothing and killing weapons, but used claws and teeth, arms and legs for this purpose. They killed to live; Anyone they met became food for them. They began to be called zombies. Walking on city streets became dangerous. The surviving people huddled in groups to survive; shops, gas stations, and warehouses were robbed. Such devastation occurred everywhere. And suddenly the animals disappeared, they left the cities and got lost. There are very few people left; So, out of a town of 400 thousand, there remained a population of about 20 thousand people, that is, one twentieth of the population. The most interesting thing is that most Large industrial centers suffered; they barely had one hundredth of their former population. It was necessary to somehow establish a new life, but man is such a brute that he cannot help but take from the weaker. Groups arose in the cities that tried to crush everyone under themselves. In big cities it boiled down to an ongoing war against everyone, but in some places people tried to come to an agreement and divide the territory. The smartest seized a piece of territory and, with the help of promises or force, forced people to work for them, declaring themselves: princes, barons, kings, emperors, chairmen of revolutionary military councils, etc. etc. At first (2-3 years), the disruption of urban infrastructure was unnoticeable. The automation also turned on street lights (every year less and less); at gas stations you can it was possible to obtain gasoline and diesel fuel, and also boiler fuel at oil depots (but all these points were divided and “oil wars” sometimes broke out over them); there were new cars in showrooms; the warehouses contained long-lasting food products (canned food, stewed meat, cereals, alcoholic drinks); but it all ended. Unrepairable heating systems were failing; burned out light bulbs; the sewer was clogged; food products were past their expiration dates; well pumps broke down or simply turned off; water supply accidents; sewage treatment plants failed - epidemics came to the cities. The remaining population decreased by another third. The survivors left the trap cities. It was a little different in small towns and on the periphery...
