Memoirs of Mikhail Dmitrievich Bonch-Bruevich - a famous military figure and surveyor, lieutenant general, doctor of military and technical sciences. Before the revolution, he was one of the outstanding and most educated generals of the tsarist army. During the October Revolution, he firmly took the side of Soviet power. The First World War played a huge role in breaking his worldview with the unceremonious control of enemy intelligence in our highest headquarters and in the palace of Nicholas II. Bonch-Bruevich begins his narrative with the declaration of war on us by Germany and its allies.
The site administration decided to change its rule of putting only excerpts from the memoirs of contemporaries that relate directly to Lenin. Firstly, the author writes about meetings fleetingly, more about his impressions of them, secondly, he writes about his correspondence with Lenin, as well as about the relationship of his brother, the manager of the Council of People's Commissars, with Lenin. The main thing here is the internal struggle of a person in his choice between himself (his habits, life, upbringing, his Ego) and his homeland. The choice that now faces each of us. The general lived until 1956, never joined the party, was not subject to repression, although one can say he gave himself to the country.
