I decided to publish the new book immediately on the Internet. My main reader is on the Internet. It can take years to win the favor of publishers and literary critics. Paradoxically, this does not make the book’s path to the reader any shorter. Often, quite the opposite. The novel “August” is written in a slightly different genre and a completely different style than “Russian”. And let the reader meet here some characters already familiar from “Russian” - this is still a completely separate book. What is it about? About love, earth and sky. About war and peace. About Russia and Russians. About you and me, friends, because each of us sooner or later has to answer the eternal question: why does a person live? Which way to choose? And what awaits us at the end of this path? Some will call “August” a detective story, others a love story or even a philosophical novel. This book probably has both. But I, the author, would really like this novel to be called simply “Russian”. The copyright for the novel “August”, as well as for the book “Guilty of Defending the Motherland, or Russian”, remains entirely with me. This freedom determined the decision to place my books on the Internet with the possibility of unhindered access to them by any READER. Copying and distribution of book texts and links to them is FREE. Everything except commercial use is permitted. And now it’s not for me to judge the new book.
