The author of the book “The Last Train to Moscow” Rene Nyberg is a Finnish diplomat who worked in many countries, including the USSR (1970s) and the Russian Federation (2000–2004). However, in the story Nyberg only touches on this side of his life. The main thing for him turns out to be something else - the reconstruction of the past. This is how the story about Rene Nyberg's mother appeared. And another one was woven into this story - about how his relatives, Masha and Joseph Jungman, managed to escape during the Second World War. And both of these stories, like magnets, attracted others to themselves. And in each there are stunning details of private fate and events of world significance, signs of time and place.
