The stories described in the book “Summer on the Shelf” take place with two children - a girl Olya and a boy Anton. And they begin with the fact that in the middle of summer the mother of the main character, concerned that the girl, having played too much in the summer, stopped reading, decided to give her a set of cubes with letters. At first glance, the gift seems completely childish, but the rules invented by mom make the game of letters exciting and extremely useful.
