A maniac has appeared in the city of Slyansk. Horrible murders happen one after another. There is clearly someone behind this monster, directing his actions. Diamonds that were once owned by a tough crime boss have been stolen. Interpol suspects that it is from Slyansk that human organs come to Germany, which are then transplanted into rich patients. Investigating these crimes, Major Nikitin comes to the conclusion that they are all connected with a tragedy that occurred thirty years ago. Little of! Nikitin himself, then still a boy, was directly related to those events... In addition to the main ending, the detective story has two more alternative ones, which, with their surprise, can shock even the most imperturbable reader.

Книга "Запасний інстинкт" вразила мене своєю інтригуючою сюжетною лінією та глибокими персонажами. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруженості та жаху, коли читач стає свідком жахливих вбивств у місті Слянську. Розслідування майора Нікітіна захоплює з перших рядків, і я не міг відірватися від книги, поки не дізнався всі таємниці, які ховаються за цими злочинами. Особливо вразила ідея про зв'язок між минулим і теперішнім, яка додає глибини сюжету. Альтернативні фінали - це справжній подарунок для любителів детективів, адже кожен з них відкриває нові грані історії. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить захоплюючі трилери з несподіваними поворотами!
