The new book of prose is based on the novel “The Last Magog”, an expanded metaphor on the theme of chosenness and exile, memory and oblivion, friends and foes, East and West, the country of Magog and the country of Ogon. The quasi-biblical world of the novel is emphatically ahistorical, although the most acutely modern themes glimmer through the fabric of the novel - ineradicable myths about a “small victorious war”, “rising from your knees”, “racial and national superiority”, “historical retribution”. The novel is distinguished by an original plot, stylistic diversity and exciting storytelling.
