The theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) has long served as a methodological basis for solving many difficult problems. The author reflected in the book all the best aspects of TRIZ and other approaches to creativity, without in any way going against tradition and heritage. On the other hand, the book contains many new ideas for the further development of TRIZ. For the first time, the author was not afraid to decisively express an idea that has long been wandering in the minds of many TRIZ people. He is convinced that TRIZ is not an exact technical science, but a new and very interesting branch of cognitive psychology - the psychology of technical creativity. Information on TRIZ in the book is presented in such a volume and in such a quality that is sufficient for a full acquaintance with this technology. At the same time, the original organization of the material in the book makes it easier than even from primary sources to perceive all the provisions of TRIZ. Written in simple language, the book can be used when studying the course “Psychology of Technical Creativity” in higher educational institutions and when independently mastering TRIZ.
