We present to readers the short prose of Nikolai Boyarchuk, which is stitched like a red thread with the caring poetic recitative of a searching, courageous man who selflessly loves his non-fictional characters. The writer turns to his reader, seeing in him the only worthy interlocutor, capable of understanding the reflections of his heroes and forgiving them, who is not afraid to see in the lives of literary heroes echoes of his own life, often unlucky, but so painfully familiar and subordinated to the same goal - to find Love. And it doesn’t matter where to find it - in the darkness of the Chechen gorges, in the bus compartment, carrying the romantic Fedya Chikanuty around Tallinn to the toilet factory, or in the jungle of the Internet. Soulless and indifferent, looking for light reading, people who have never suffered and who have nothing do not want to know about what exists above the “darkness of low truths”, entry into the territory of Nikolai Boyarchuk’s creativity is strictly prohibited.
