In the spring of 1945, Soviet soldiers hoisted the Victory Banner on the Reichstag building. The end of the terrible war was near. There were only a couple of days left before the surrender of the Berlin garrison. But in this short time (and even after) many more people will die - ours, the Germans, and others. All of our ancestors, in one way or another, went through that terrible war. There are fewer and fewer of them left. We must remember them, no matter what they were. Unfortunately, after returning from the war, many never returned from it. Grigory Bulatov did not come either, having gone through a sorrowful path from the Standard Bearer of Victory to a criminal, an alcoholic and a suicide. There are so many of them throughout the country... And yet without them there would be no us, our History. Our Victory. Let us bow to both the living and the departed.
