Children disappear in the small provincial town of Yuzhnogorsk. A light press of the TV remote control button forever changed the life of the main character Victoria, a doctor from the private clinic "Infomed". There was a story on the news that two children, twins, a brother and sister, 7 years old, had disappeared in the city of Yuzhnogorsk. The missing children were her nephews, the little Stasiks (she nicknamed them that way because of their names: Anastasia and Stanislav), and their mother was her sister Svetlana... She goes to Yuzhnogorsk with only one purpose: to find the Stasiks. She has to go to extremes: climb over fences under high voltage current, defend herself from ferocious dogs, sit up to her neck in a stinking swamp for a day, crawl through the thickets to make her way past guards armed with machine guns. She will save the Stasiks, but to do this she will shoot a man. And it will reveal an unexpected ending - in which a friend turns out to be a mortal enemy.
